BLOOD COLLECTION TUBE
AKURET is a world class blood collection system that has been introduced after extensive research and trials. It simplifies the process of blood collection and analysis, enhances accuracy and markedly reduces the time of reporting.
Whole blood is the medical term for the blood present in human circulation.
When centrifuged it separates into different components namely, red blood cells, serum and plasma.
The evacuated (vacuum) blood collection tubes are used for collection, transportation and analysis of whole blood, plasma or serum.
Each Akuret Blood Collection Tube has the following components:
Cap
- Grooved with fine ridge like longitudinal lines to make capping and uncapping easier.
- Color coded according to the additive inside to make identification that much easier
- Plastic exterior
- Rubber interior
Tube
- Plastic ,unbreakable material for longevity and ease of use
- Color coded as per the International codes
- Labeled to make their use by the technical staff more convenient.
The blood collection in the Tubes is based in the following Principle
- The blood collection tubes are meant to be filled up with a predetermined volume of blood
- Different types of additives line the interiors of the tube or are present in solid/liquid form, depending on their specific utility
- The additives confer different properties to the collected blood, which are responsible formaking it suitable for various diagnostic tests
Each Akuret Tube has the following Salient features :
